Food Insecurity After COVID-19: A Case Study of Pakistan and the Horn of Africa

The COVID-19 pandemic's persistent impacts and associated repercussions still hinder efforts to meet sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2030. Food prices have increased over the past year as a result of supply chain disruptions brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak, soaring transportation costs, and other factors. There are shortages and food inflation rates are rising. In addition, notably in low-income nations, the increasing frequency and severity of extreme climatic events are likely to disrupt supply networks significantly. The study explores the factors that exacerbate the situation and then makes policy recommendations to address the problem effectively.
